Which Smartphones Can Be Used as Your Lockbox Key?

With the NNRMLS 2013 Lockbox Exchange coming next week on May 7, 8 & 9 you might be wondering which smartphones you’ll be able to use to open the new iBox BT LE. You can use many different devices including Android, BlackBerry and iPhone smartphones. For a more comprehensive list click this link: http://www.supraekey.com/Documents/Compatible_Devices_iBox%20BT%20LE.pdf. Keep in mind while you browse this document  — when it states “only use your device to open the iBox BT LE,” that means you do not need a FOB for those devices, including the iPad Mini and the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and above.

As it was with the old lockboxes, you will need to download the eKEY app to your smartphone. The new iBoxes will also work with any Supra infrared key, according to documentation provided by Supra.

Bonus fact: BT LE stands for “Blue Tooth Low Energy.”
